Everingham, Ephraim (Alfie) (1855–1915)

The death look place in Windsor on Sunday morning of Ephraim Everingham, a half-cast aboriginal at the age of 60 years, the cause of death being consumption. In his young days 'Afie,' the name by which he was known, was a splendid cricketer, and performed some great deeds with the bat playing with river teams. He was a quiet, inoffensive man, honorable in all his dealings, and was generally liked. He leaves a widow and grown-up family. The remains were interred in the private cemetery at the aboriginal mission station, Sackville, on Monday afternoon. Mr. J. T. Jones read the burial service, and Mr. Jackson, of Windsor was the undertaker.
